My favorite episode of I Love Lucy was when Carolyn and Lucy's boys' parties were scheduled on the same day, but Lucy won when she brought in Superman for Little Ricky's birthday party. May God give Carolyn's family peace and strength during the sad days ahead.

I had SUCH a crush on Carolyn Appleby when I was about 12 years old. She was my favorite character on "I Love Lucy." NOTE: Many of you are confusing Doris Singleton with Vivian Vance (who died way back in 1979), who of course played Ethel Mertz.
