A heart of gold stopped beating,
two shining eyes at rest.
our hearts are broken to prove,
He only takes the best.

Jim and Marcia are such special people. In the twenty years I have known them they were always welcoming and demonstrated warmth and interest in everyone around them. While Jim was clearly a great professional within his field, his real accomplishment - to me at least - seemed to be the great love and companionship of his friends and family. At his birthday celebration last spring I had the good fortune to sit next to Marcia while Jim spoke. I asked her if they had been "love at first sight". Marcia lit up and said it was and "still was". Anyone who knows them has seen the great love they have for one another. Jim once told me something about the nature of their relationship. He said this with great conviction and feeling - "people always think of us as Marcia and Jim..." That is so true and such a staple of what they brought to their relationships with other people. Jim and I were different kinds of people, but I so respected the great care and attention he gave to those around him. His example is one that resonates with anyone who wants to be remembered for the great love he/she gave others. I extend my prayers and best wishes to the entire Drewitz family and circle of friends
