I like everyone else was in shock as I watched in horror the events that unfolded on September 11. To know that any human being can do such an act is still unimaginable. If anything good came out of this tragedy it is that America is uniting as one. There is no race, religion or color but just Americans.

On numerous occasions I have gone to visit Washington, D.C. One of my favorite tourist attractions is the FDR Memorial. At that memorial is many quotes from FDR. One that has always touched me when I visit this the memorial goes as follows:

"I HAVE SEEN WAR
I HAVE SEEN WAR ON THE LAND AND SEA, I HAVE SEEN BLOOD RUNNING FROM THE WOUNDED. I HAVE SEEN THE DEAD IN THE MUD. I HAVE SEEN CITIES DESTROYED. I HAVE SEEN CHILDREN STARVING. I HAVE SEEN THE AGONY OF MOTHERS AND WIVES.
I HATE WAR"
Even though FDR was referring to WWII, I feel that this quote is appropriate for this tragedy that has happened on September 11, 2001.

This was such a sinceless tradegy for the United States, and for the American people. God give us the strength and hope and the directions to get through this time
and to right the wronge that was done to the United States and its people
