LAKE WALES - Edward "Big Ed" Lewis Kriston, 76, of Lake Wales, formerly of Winter Haven, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center due to heart failure.
Born June 2, 1937 in Omar, West Virginia he move to Florida over 50 years ago. Mr. Kriston was the Co-Owner of W.M. Kriston and Sons. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Kriston is survived by a son, Bruce Nickless of Haines City; 2 daughters, Penny Ann Taylor and Cheryl Ferguson of Lake Wales; a brother, Donnie Kriston of Winter Haven; 3 grandchildren, Tracie Ferguson, Chris Ferguson and Jeremiah Nickless; and 3 great- grandchildren, Cody, Cierra and Brayon Nickless.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM Monday in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com

This great man took everyone in as if they were family. I will never forget the kindness he showed me. Really not a lot of people who genuinely care for others but Pa did. I am so sorry for the family and the loss of such a wonderful man. You will be remembered forever Pa. Love you, Amanda
