Grandad, a huge part of my life has gone with you passing and it feels like it's kind of an end of an era. You were always there for people at their hour of need, and always spoke such wise yet humble words. If I can be half the man you were I will be happy. I am proud to say you are my Grandad, and I will never forget you. Look after Nan and Mummy Sarah up there, and I will join you all some day, but until that day God Bless Grandad sleep tight. Love always Sam.

P.S. don't know what the Jack Daniels supply is like up there but save us a bottle for when we meet again.

Daddy my very first love a man of principles and of good old fashioned values.
The man that had hold of my toddler hand in a crowd of people and unfortunately lost grip and ended up with daddy's friend's hand holding on tightly to mine...that taught me how to make a noise if I had too! A man that I nearly poisoned at Primary School with my first attempt to make biscuits but forgot to rinse my hands yuk carbolic! A man who taught me to ride a bike and said keep going I am right behind you when he had already let go. A man who made fun of a 13 year old who had fallen in love for the very first time and sang to the family one school day morning at breakfast 'To Young To Really Be In Love' How very embarrassing! And a man who would frequently say turn the lights out turn the taps off and be in by 10pm. And also a man who loved and protected me through some dreadful times. So now I would like to say handsome kind funny man... Daddy rest without pain, fear and weariness and know you are truly loved by one and all and I will love you to the day I die

In memory of my dear dad...we used to have very heated debates about politics and the state of the world...used to drive my poor mum bananas. However, as we both got older we both mellowed a bit, but still enjoyed a good discussion. Dad was a very loving parent, he loved his girls no matter what trials and tribulations they brought to his door..and there were a few from all of us!!He couldn't have been more loved and the good thing is that he knew he was loved. Helping to care for him in the latter part of his life was a privilege. Dad, I will really miss you.
