Margaret Freeney Obituary

Margaret Richmond Freeney "Margie" was born April 27, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the only child of the late Henry and Cassie Richmond. The family moved to Gary, Indiana and at an early age Margie accepted Christ and became a faithful member of First A.M.E. Church. She was a member of the Elite Matrons and the Sunday School. Margie was a resident of Aperion (Timberview) Nursing Home where she met no strangers and was loved by all. Margie will be greatly missed by her sons Donald (Lucy) Freeney of Fort Wayne, IN and Michael (Pam) Houston of Gary, IN and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at First A.ME. Church 2045 Massachusetts Street, Gary, Indiana.

Margaret was one of my residents at Timberview. She had a kind, loving & gentle spirit. She always greeted me with a smile. I give my DEEPEST sympathy to her family & friends! To know Margaret was to love her!
