I will always remember Al's kindness and generosity to myself and family. Pontoon rides on the Chain, wonderful meals, hospitality and laughter provide heartfelt memories for me. Al truly touched many lives and he is already missed.

Dear Gloria, Jackie, Martha and Jeff, I was so sorry to read of Al's death although Jean Davis had seen Carol last week and reported that he was in bad shape. Al's death brought back many happy memories of our days on Bodley--Gloria's garden, New Year's football games, Pitman school, etc., etc. It seems a long time ago and, yet, like yesterday. My deepest sympathy to all of you. He was a special guy. Love,

Dear Gloria and family,
So saddened by the loss of Al. My deepest sympathy.

Al wore his various uniforms with pride, whether it was behind the controls of a 345th Bomb Group B-25 Mitchell skimming the waves, a foundryman for Waupaca Foundry or a husband, father and grandfather. He reminded young people to wear their hats facing forward so you could see their face and know just whose "uniform" they were proud to wear. You will be greatly missed.
