My lifelong friend Jon Tennyson of Ripon has told me many times about his wonderful doctor. He recently wrote me this. "There are some really good and decent people you run across in your life who make you want to be a little better person yourself. John was one. In all those years, I never had one medical test of any kind that he did not personally - personally - call me with the results. In all those years, I never saw the man look at his watch once. Don't know why I'm telling you, I guess I just feel like I want to tell somebody a really, really good guy has gone to what I hope and trust is a better place. You would have loved this guy."
My sympathy to Harvada and family. It was an honor for me to work for Dr. Elisberg. His concern and loving care he gave to his patients. He will be missed by all.
My sympathy to your whole family. Having taught the girls music in elementary school, I am very sad to hear of your loss. You were wonderful students, and your parents were very suppostive. It's really tough losing a dad and also a wonderful husband. I miss not seeing you anymore. I see you have families. Hope you are doing well. Thinking of you in this difficult time.
My deepest sympathy to Dr. Elisberg's family and loved ones for your tremendous loss. I had the good fortune to work with him at Theda Clark at the beginning of my nursing career, and from him I learned a lot about integrity and compassion. I developed a profound respect for him and very much enjoyed working with him.
I hope you can find comfort in your happy memories if him.
Dr Elisberg was truly an angel of mercy. He was my family Dr. taking care of my grandparents, parents, wife and son too. He touched many generations with his care and compassion. He is loved and will be missed by many. May God Bless his family for sacrificing and sharing such a good man with so many people.

Dr. John was THE BEST in my book! His compassion made his patients each feel very special. He was an angel of mercy to me thru my husband's illness and death. I've missed him greatly since his move to Madison. My deepest sympathies to the family!
Our deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. John..we were able to visit with him a short time ago on the phone and truly enjoyed his friendship as well as him being our family doctor for many years. He was a great person and will be truly missed, may God Bless his family at this time of loss.
My condolences to Dr. Elisberg's family. He was my parent's physician. Dad took care of Mom at home for years (she had MS) and Dr. Elisberg made many late night house calls to help these old folks out. Mary died in 1993 (age 82) and Mel died at Peabody Manor in 1998 at age 92. Dr. Elisberg had the bedside manor of on "old time" family doctor. He made my parents feel as though they were his only patients and the most important people in the world. God bless him.
Dr John you will be truely missed Gods blessing to the Elisberg family he was a wonderful man

Dr. Elisberg was my wife and my doctor for many years. She and I absolutely adored him. There could not possibly be any other physician so genuinely caring, compassionate and warm as he. My wife, Donna, died from cancer March 30, 2011. She now has one of the finest physicians in Heaven to consult with. God's Blessings on this wonderful man's family.
I sorry you didn't have more years with John. Treasure your memories and look forward to being reunited with him eventually through the gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dr. Elisberg was the best doctor, and I missed him terribly when he moved away. He had the unique ability to listen to his patients with such care and understanding. I am sorry for your loss - and you are all in my prayers.
Dr. Elisberg was one of a kind and I can only imagine his family's loss right now. We loved him when he was our physician in Appleton and he took the most wonderful care of my mother! He was always so interested in the fact we were from Minocqua since he loved the area...until the Wal Mart came in, I remember him saying! He truly cared about us and he was the Best Doctor Ever. I am sorry for your loss.
Our sincerest sympathy to the Elisberg family. Dr. Elisberg was our family physician for the entire time he practiced in Appleton. We will always remember him as a dedicated, caring, and compassionate doctor and friend.
While my dad was dying full of cancer, Dr.John sat with him at his house. While my mom was dying,Dr. John gave me advice and he took great care of me, with compassion and a great attitude. I haven't found another doctor like Dr. John! He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed! He's in my thoughts and prayers!
Dr Elisberg was my doctor for 20 plus years. He was a very caring person , so sorry for your loss.
My sympathies to the Elisberg family. Dr. Elisberg was my physician for years when I lived in Appleton and I have not found another doctor as kind and dedicated as he was. I feel very sad.
My wife and I were patients of Dr Elisberg while he practiced in Neenah. He was a kind, caring, and compassionate man and dedicated physician. We are so sorry to see this notice but were blessed to have known him. He talked often of his family, and our condolences and sympathy go out to all of them.
Remembering your kindness to my husband. May God bless you and your family.
I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Elisberg. I was his patient for many years in Appleton and truly enjoyed my office visits despite my illness. He always had a friendly word, and took personal interest in my life as well as my health. I remember how fond he was of Chicory coffee and always asked me about New Orleans and my frequent trips there. I have missed him since he terminated his practice in Neenah and feel blessed to have known him as a doctor and a friend. My sincere condolences to his family.
