Nick and George Karras were such an important part of my life as a teenager in the 1970s. I worked as a cook at Karras Restaurant before, during, and after their transition to Greek cuisine. Nick was a kind man who taught and gave me responsibility and a good work ethic. He believed that the best advertising was word-of-mouth. He loved visiting with his regular customers, many of whom were on the Outagamie County board of supervisors. I will always be grateful for having known Nick and George Karras.
