Christenson, Dorothy
Dorothy Christenson, 78, of Crandon, died February 5, 2014 at Nu-Roc Community Healthcare Center in Blackwell. She was born July 28, 1935 in Kentucky to Grover and Pearl (Caldwell) Johnson.
Dorothy married Donald Christenson. They lived in the Appleton area and in the early 1990's built a home on Horseshoe Lake outside of Crandon. She enjoyed Crocheting and throwing horseshoes with her husband.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Don, three daughters: Valorie (Tom) Sutheimer, Kris (Pete) Biesterveld, and Doreen McHugh, and one son Mike (Donna) Christenson, one brother J.C. Johnson, nine grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald (Jan) Christenson, Marge (Buck) Bialcik, and Dorothy Phillips. She was preceded in death by sisters, Cindy Fisher, Audrey Lawrence, brother-in-law, Bob Lawrence and granddaughter Danielle Sutheimer.
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Deacon Jerry Cross will officiate. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
