Bud was a gem of a man. I lived in the same complex as him for years in Mt Lebanon. He was the absolute best neighbor, bar none. He was the first person I met when I moved in. When it snowed your car was cleaned off before you even had a chance because of Bud. Same with your garbage. He was so active I would of challenged anyone half his age to keep up with him. He was up at dawn and always had something going on to fulfill his whole day. He would help anyone and what a conversation you could have with him. I just became aware of his passing. Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. Now Bud go easy on them up in Heaven , they will need some time to adjust, just to keep up with you.

Bud was a true gentleman and I had the great pleasure of having him work for me at Wheelabrator for many years. He was a very kind and giving person and so, so generous. I remember we would have "Bud Days" in the office with a luncheon feast furnished by him. Bud loved flea markets and he was always picking up unusual articles and giving them to many of us. He will always be remembered for his smile and hearty laugh and for his appreciation of good food. He certainly could have been the "Phantom Diner" in Pittsburgh as he loved to frequent many of Pittsburgh's fine restaurants.

God bless you Bud and our sincere condolences to his family.

It is a sad day to here of Bud's passing.. My deepest sympathy to the Mahler family .. Bud was such a special and unique person.. He taught me so much about how things work in life as a young man .. Bud touched my soul and treated me like a son the time that we spent together so many .. many years ago ..

God Bless Him ..
