I grew up on 13th Street - Tony was the Greatest - he Would foot race kids in the street- AND WIN!! - He was a true Fighter and Didn't let old age win. Up until last year he was walking the streets of Sharpsburg and still living in his home - unfortunately Age finally caught up to Tony. Ironically not too long before he moved - I saw him out front of The Dollar store on Main Street - I asked him if he needed a ride home - he said yes but that he first had to buy some sympathy cards - I asked who died - He said ' Joey at my age, people I know can go at any time- I just want to be ready - and They're 2 for a dollar here not $3.00 per card like the other stores.' From that day on I purchased all of my greeting cards - sympathy Cards etc. from the Dollar store. I will miss you Tony - RIP - you were truly one of the Good guys in this world. Deepest Sympathy to the Chiriaco Family.
