BARBARA PRICE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 23 to Apr. 24, 2014.

PRICE BARBARA ANNE "BARB"
Age 62, of Harrison City, formerly of Penn Hills, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on April 21, 2014. Daughter of the late Lester and Martha Price; loving mother of Bruce (Joelle) Corna, Jr., Jason C. (Aida) Corna, and Joshua (fiancée, Elizabeth Ferri) Corna; Nana to Hope, Grace, Bruce III, Scarlett, Denis, and Jameson; sister of Leslie (Ralph) Guzzo, Michael Price, Hollie (John) Hooper, and the late Raymond Price. Barb also loved and held a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She held degrees from both the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University and was formerly an employee of the Elliott Company in Jeannette. Barb loved life, but she loved her boys more than anything. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent, compassionate care Barb received from Family Hospice at Canterbury Place. A memorial visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barbara Catholic Church Saturday 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be sent to Family Hospice at Canterbury Place, 310 Fisk St., Lawrenceville, PA 15201.

Barb was such a special person when I knew her back in high school. When we reconnected on Face book she brought so many old friends with her. She was a blessing to many and so will be missed by many. I will pray for her and her family and request her name be put on our parish prayer list. May she rest in peace.

To Barb's family - I knew Barb from grade school. Although we only communicated on facebook (I am in North Carolina) it was so nice to be in touch again. And she did so much to get our class in-touch. I will always remember her as a sweet little girl and lovely young woman. I can only imagine how sad you are. I lost my own mother to pancreatic cancer at a similar age and I still miss her. Please know that our hearts are with you in this awful time. Sincerely, Marilyn Burkman

I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was a very lovely person. She worked tirelessly to keep our class of 69 Facebook page updated. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. From conversations at the reunions, I knew how much she loved her children & grandchildren! Please know that she and all her family are in my prayers. My sincere condolences to her family.
