My family lived on Jane Street, three doors away from the Kollar Club. Knew Bernie and his brother as well as all the family. Some 60 years have passed since we last met. My condolences to the family and may he rest in eternal peace.

What can one say about this wonderful man, who was truly a gentle giant!! He raised 5 incredible children with a firm but fair hand and epitomized the definition of "father." He was an incredible role model as a brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a second dad. Who could ever forget all of the times he was the steady quarterback or steady pitcher when it was the girls against the boys and the girls always seemed to win! Or who could forget all of the fishing trips he took us on when we piled into the back seat of his car and then would eat ice cream cones with our wormy fingers? Not to mention all of the porch sitting and card games!! You have touched my life in so many wonderful ways and I am proud to be your niece. This is truly the end of an era, and while we are saddened by it we are also happy and blessed to have had you as part of our lives. Love you!
