DARLENE WALKER Obituary
Of Red Lion, PA formerly of Upper St. Clair, PA passed away Friday, July 8, 2016, at York Hospital, after a battle with cancer, at the young age of 58. Darlene was born March 7, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA. Daughter to late James and Gladys Walker; sister of the late Deborah Walker Kania; she is survived by her son and daughter, Justin and Crystal Walker; brothers, James, Timothy, Robert and Edward Walker; sisters, Diana Scarfo, Doreen Walker; best friend, Mary Haberkorn; grandchildren, Trinity, Ethen, Gillian, Gracin, and soon to be baby Walker. Darlene touched the hearts and enriched the lives of many children throughout her career as a Speech and Language Pathologist for Lincoln Intermediate Unit for over 20 years. She was a strong independent woman, who you could not help but notice. She was famous for her dark tan and long fingernails. She loved her son and daughter and their children more than anything else in this world. Her strength and perseverance was a role model for all those who knew her. I worked with Darlene through the LIU in the early part of our careers. Her presence at in-services was always noticeable-- a very pretty lady, witty, funny, entertaining and serious about her job! She loved her kids, grandchildren and PGH Steelers! So sorry to hear of her passing. Please accept my condolences and know you are a very blessed family to come from such good stock!

I worked with Darlene and knew her many years. We spent lots of time talking about our children and her grandchildren. I know how much she loved you all. Darlene always had lots to say and I will miss her humor and our times together. God Bless You All!

Our prayers are with your family. We dearly loved Darlene.I felt I had to see her and visited her that day before she passed.She was so excited to see me and she kept saying you are family.She looked so good and so full of life. I guess God had other plans.
