Dave was my best friend and mentor. I remember like it was just yesterday when he, Melissa, and little Damiano approached me and my dog Buddy to introduce themselves and wanted to see how our dogs interacted. I was 14 at the time so I didn't think much of how he will have impacted my life. Soon, him, Melissa, Damiano, and I became the greatest of friends/neighbors. I would always hope to run into them every night while walking Buddy. It was all I looked forward too at night. Fast forward throughout high school where i was almost done with my Senior year. Dave and Melissa were always there for me for the 4+ years that i have known them. Dave and I would sometimes talk for an hour just about life, or in one case, my prom and how nervous i was getting. He was honestly the best person to talk to about anything. The one thing i wanted most was for Dave and Melissa to come to my graduation, to show them that their motivation got me through high school.
Unfortunately, Melissa had told me about her loss. I was absolutely devastated. I had loss one of my best friends. A year later, as I'm writing this, I know that in Heaven, Dave saw me graduate and was proud. Im blessed to have had him in my life and I give my condolences to his family. Heaven has received a true angel

Thank you everyone for your condolences to our family, prayers and for sharing your thoughts of Dave in your messages here and on the other obituary sites. If anyone has anything they would like to share with the family, please feel free to contact me.

Losing Dave at this time in his life was a true tragedy. He was so young, so full of life and had such an adventurous spirit. If you knew Dave, you know that he was intelligent, took care of himself physically, was a kind, caring and giving person who would go out of his way to help if you were in need, had a tremendous sense of humor, was a fervent animal lover and was intense, passionate and extreme in all his endeavors and beliefs. As my little brother, we had many times when we were at odds and many times when we were in tears, doubled over with laughter together. All of which I now treasure. Looking back on things, I think I connected with Dave more closely on a fundamental level more so than with anyone else. And there were so many ways in which our lives paralleled, either by design or coincidence and in virtually every instance, Dave surpassed me with his ability and passion. I know as the youngest in the family he often felt growing up that he had to prove himself when in fact, he should have felt just the opposite.

Dave, I was blessed to have you as my brother and we were blessed to have you in our family. I pray you are with our Lord along with the rest of our family and souls who have left this world and that you know how deeply you are loved and missed. I love you and I have faith that someday we'll be together again in Heaven little brother. Until then, you'll always be in my prayers.

You were the best colleague and friend that I could have ever been blessed with in my life. You genuinely cared about our clients and went out of your way to make sure they were properly cared for. You made my life better at work because you created a lighthearted and fun environment. You made my life better as a friend because we always had good time together, you were always loyal, and you were always there when I needed you. You valued kindness and generosity. That is the way you lived your life, with a kind and generous heart, and that is the way you will always be remembered.
