On Tuesday, September 30, 2003, Professor Dwight M.B. Baumann, age 70 of Squirrel Hill. Husband of Mayvis; father of Susan Wittrock & her husband Gary of Missouri, Stephen D. & his wife Lisa of Virginia, and Sandra E. of Nevada; grandfather of Jacob and Jonah Wittrock. Other survivors include his parents William and Alma Baumann of North Dakota; and two sisters, Judith of Ohio, and Maxine of California. Professor Baumann received his doctorate at MIT and was a professor of mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University for 34 years. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at H. SAMSON, INC., 537 N. Neville Street, Oakland (412-621-2800). A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11am at Bellefield Presbyterian Church, 4001 Fifth Avenue, Oakland. Interment is private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bellefield Presbyterian Church, Student Outreach 4001 5th Ave, Pgh PA 15213 or The American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr, Pgh PA 15205.
