HAROLD E. "SONNY"
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, age 79, of Valencia, formerly of Pine Twp. Husband of Kathleen Bredl Worthing, whom he married on February 23, 1962; father of Scott Worthing (Collette Taylor), Karen Minnock (Thomas), Eric Worthing (Dan Strinkoski) and Juanita Early; grandfather of Amanda and Zachary Novak, Brooke Worthing and Brighton and Ty Early; and great- grandfather of Mary Novak. Born in Pgh., PA on October 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Harold and Betty Worthing. Sonny was a Boilermaker with Union Local 154 in Pittsburgh and had served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Kilian Church, the Mars V.F.W. and served on the Board of Directors of Cobblestone Village, where he was everyone's handyman. Friends will be received at the McDONALD - AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Charles Bober, officiating. Memorials may be made to Brother's Brother, 1200 Galveston Ave., Pgh., PA 15233. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
