My name is Clara Jacob. My husband Matthew, along with our friends Dawn and Fred Riedel, volunteer at Animal Friends, which is a no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh. Once a month, we bring dogs and cats to visit the residents at Schenley Gardens. Mac was one of our regulars. Oh, how we looked forward to seeing him! He was always so funny, so caring, so interesting, so kind. It broke our hearts to learn he left Schenley Gardens, and even more so to be recently told that he passed away. We are all better people for having known him. Rest in peace, dear Mac!

Dear McCarrier Family,

You have my sincere sympathy. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father return your dear one to you. - Luke 7:11-15

I just want to say I am sorry for your loss of Mac. I was the hairdresser at Schenley Gardens.. I liked seeing Mac . He always brought his hair brush down and guided me thru his haircut. He always took pride in his appearance. Even before he left Schenley to go to the hospital he wanted his haircut..I always new when he was in the smoking room by blasting his music and that always cheered me up.. He was loved by alot of people at Schenley.. God Bless you Mac! You had a real cross to bear... I hope I see you in Heaven and you are walking...amen
