My Aunt Poppy, a woman of grace, taste and courage influenced me beyond measure. The very tenor of her voice, and beautiful use of English, uniquely her own, I will hear in my head for the rest of my life. She listened hard and responded with sincerity and honesty. She loved to laugh. Her own woes and worries never voiced, except once that I can recall. How I wish now to have helped her more! What to do when someone you admire and love - and who loved you, dies? You must be more of who you should be in this short life. Poppy, I will always remember you. Love.
A lovely woman who inspired a young girl.
My thoughts & prayers go to her family.
