Dr. Constance Ramirez, I have learned with great sorrow the passing on of Dr. Ramirez. He was my greatest professor and has touched so many lives in his teaching. He is in a good place. Love, Dr. Teresa Wambui, from Kenya

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Roland's support of me during my "troubles" at Duquesne. I know that you took incredibly good care of him. May your faith, family, and friends give you comfort as your mourn the loss of our dear Roland.

Dear Connie, Please accept my sympathy at the loss of your beloved husband. I remember him well from my days at Duquesne. Although I never had him as a professor, I remember him in the halls of the English Department, always smiling and always with that twinkle in his eye that the obituary mentioned. May you find peace in your great loss. And may your family provide comfort for you. Sincerely,

Dr. Roland Ramirez was a professor of mine when I was an undergrad at Duquesne from '97-02. He taught me in Asian Philosophy, and I absolutely loved him and that class. I learned so much, and I remember how he told us such great stories about his travels. He made me want to do so well in that class, to study so hard. I actually looked forward to his tests! He was such a kind, gentle man, as well as an incredible teacher. It was an honor to have him as a professor. He will be missed.

Dear Connie,
It was an honor to have worked with you and Roland. You both gave so much to DU. You have my sympathy and hope that joyful memories counter some of the sadness.
With much regard, Holly
