Many fond memories of my years teaching at BPHS with Bill.
God bless Bill and his wonderful family. Bill and my husband, Paul Mazerov, loved teaching high school together. They called themselves "Starsky and Hutch", two TV characters. Of course, Bill was also loved as "Wild Bill". Bill and his precious wife, Mary, spent many joy-filled hours with us before they moved to be close to their children. Bill's picture, above, is what I'll always visualize. What a handsome man! Sweet, tender, compasionate, wonderful friend! I could go on forever with positive adjectives. He will delight those in Heaven , especially my Paul. (Mary, you are loved and I'm praying for you, too!)
May his Memory be Eternal!
"Wild Bill" , as we called him, was the most fantastic teacher I ever had. He was funny and intelligent and never talked down to us kids. Even though I had him near the end of his career, he never lost his enthusiasm or love of teaching. He was a true gentleman and professional and I will miss him dearly. He has never been far from my thoughts or heart whenever I remember Home. He was a very special man and I will never forget him. I will be praying for comfort in this time of sadness for you all. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, Mr. Carter. You were a fabulous teacher and your kindness and concern for others will live on through the many students you taught.
What a great guy! My heart and prayers goes out to Randy and his family. I loved listening to him tell his war stories. He always had such a great attitude and sense of humor!
Bill you are remembered by many students who loved you dearly and made class at BPHS the BEST ever! I as well as many others will never forget you...Many prayers to you and your family and may you rest in peace with open arms with your other siblings who are now resting with God..BPHS class of 86 loves you and will miss you dearly!
I remember Mr. Carter fondly, he made learning lively and interesting. My best thoughts go out to his family, and his son Randy who I graduated with.
Wild Bill is what I called him!!!He truly was my favorite! He's the only teacher that took the time to actually get to know you!I couldn't pass one of his tests,no matter how much I studied for it,so I just gave up...he asked me to come to his class during his free period and he gave me the test orally...I ACED IT!!!! That's how he gave me the rest of my tests that semester and I passed his class with a B!! To me he will ALWAYS be very special! REST IN PEACE WILD BILL!!!
Mr. Carter taught compassion and dignity by simply discerning basic needs. I hope I thanked him sufficiently for what he did during my senior year. It was a lifeline as well as a life lesson - and many years and many twists later, I still have much to learn from Mr. Carter's kindness.
Bill was one of the best and made our lives more special!
Mr. Carter was a great teacher. He made learning fun. Rest in Peace. My prayers to his family.
There weren't many teachers that truly touched my heart and gave me an interest in wanting to learn something important. Mr Carter was truly one in a million! I am honored to say that I was one of his students!
