Hey Dad,
We have been through a lot, you and me. Words can not express my life without you. So, I will just say that I have been very lucky in my life to have a father so loving and understanding who I always looked up to. I have learned so much from you throughout the many years I have had the pleasure of you being my father. I turned your world upside down when I got here and continued to do so throughout my life. You and I were there for eachother when mommy died. You kept it together and were strong, you helped me from losing my mind. I know now that you and mommy are looking down on me and watching over me. You are in my heart right where mommy is and that is where you both will always be.
Thank you for everything,
Lisa

Where do I start?
Harry took on my father's role when my own father passed away. He was always generous, thoughtful, and such a gentle and soft spoken man with a heart of gold. I knew from the first time i met Harry that we would get along just fine when he told Blanche and Lisa that he liked me a lot more than Lisa's old boyfriend! Harry was a man of few words, but when he did talk, you would always pay attention because you knew that whatever he was saying came straight from the heart. Harry generally seemed to like everyone he met, hardly ever had a bad word for anyone, and if he did, it was for good reason. I always enjoyed our visits to Harry and Blanche's apartment, me and my children always recieved a warm welcoming. I especially enjoyed when they came to our house for birthdays, holidays, or just coming over to visit.
Unfortunatley, from circumstances of advancing age, Harry recently was placed in a nursing home. However, he was placed where both my wife Lisa and I work at. The two of us made sure that he recieved excellent care during his stay there. With this final chapter of his wonderful life, Harry made many new friends with his new found outgoing personality! He was always shaking hands with the guys, wheeling himself around the unit, visiting his new neighbors and even winking at the women! Funny enough he has always called me Brian the entire 15 years i have had the pleasure of being his son in law, but the whole time he was in the nursing home, my name was Arnold! when i questioned him if he remembered who i was, his response was "of course i do! you are married to my daughter Lisa, i'm not stupid Arnold!" So eventually i just went with my new monikar. I was always dropping in and checking on him throught the day and we would have many conversations and he told me many stories. This one time man of few words all the sudden became a chatterbox!
It was unfortunate that Harry's last several months were spent in a nursing home, but i feel lucky he did, as I had more conversations and we connected with each other more in that short amount of time than we had in the whole time i have been blessed to be a part of this family. So, here's to a wonderful, long, happy life Harry enjoyed and to all the hearts he touched along the way!
May God bless and keep you always Harry!
Your son in law,
Brian (Arnold)
