We met Joan through her son Craig. Joan was a wonderful friend to our daughter Marla. We dealt with very difficult times together. She has always been in our thoughts after moving to Missouri. She is with Craig now. They are missed.

So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I loved working with her at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Miss Joan as I called her was truly one of the most caring people I have ever met. Even if she wasn't feeling well she always wondered how you were doing. A joy to work with and a very dedicated person to everything she did with us at Children's Hospital. I will truly miss her kindness and loving way. Rest in peace dear friend.

As stated in the article, Joan really did inspire everyone she knew. I worked with Miss Joan at Children's Hospital for seven years. She was truly a kind and caring person who took great pride in her work. She adored her family, friends and work community. She will always be remembered and missed so much. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family and friends. With all my Love- Dana Wassel Sabatos.
