John was a collegue of mine at the Traffic Club of Pittsburgh for about 25 years, and we had a business relationship. He was a Traffic Manager and I was a railroad salesman. I thought it would be hard to describe what a great person John was, but after reading the other eight entries in John's Guest Book, it is not difficult. I'll just second all the words used here by others: respected and respectful, cheerful, smiling, positive attitude, intelligent, wise, good Christian, gentleman, wonderful, loved, professional, exceptional leader and happy. That was John.

Dear John Power Family: My condolences to you all at this very sad time. I worked with John for many years and always enjoyed his professionalism and high ethics. He was a gentleman and a good Christian. He and Harry Doukakis both hired me back in 1967 in Essington, PA and the lunch interview was fun and no high pressure. He was a "pro" in interfacing with people.

The Shrum family extends its sincerest sympathies to the Power family for this profound loss. Mr. Power was a wonderful man, friendly, happy, caring, intelligent and wise. He also was an exceptional Boy Scout leader who will be missed by a lot of people.
