DAVID ALDON
Age 79, of Ben Avon, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 28, 2013, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen Cunningham; father of Janet (Steve) Boozell of Grove City, PA, Allen Davisson of Austin, TX, Pamela (Phil) Riggs of Slippery Rock, PA, Joel (Kathy) Davisson of Palm Coast, FL, John Bryan (Hermin) Davisson of Big Pine Key, FL, Paul Davisson, proudly serving with the Navy in Djabouti, Africa; and daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Davisson of Valencia; grandfather of Jess, John, Eden, Lily, Lorinda, Justin, Katie, Jessica, Chris, Jenifer, Josiah, Kara, and Brett, and the late Nathan Boozell and Shekinah Davisson; brother of Sylvia (Ron) Davis of Oklahoma, Jim Woolums of Indiana and the late Marcia Robinson (John Norman surviving) and late Denver Davisson (Frances surviving); also survived by nieces and nephews. Dave was born in New Castle, Indiana, graduated from Northern Baptist Theological College and Seminary, Chicago, IL, married Betsy McMasters and raised his family in Indiana, OH and Grove City. He was a compassionate and gentle man who loved to be with people, especially fishing with his grandchildren and feeding the birds, squirrels and fish in his backyard, hoping one day one of the many frogs who came to visit his pond would stay and not hop away. He also enjoyed his 17 years singing with the Assumption Church Choir. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Buranosky officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Assumption School, 35 N. Jackson Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202 or Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pgh., PA 15237.

Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of such a fun-loving, quiet humored man. Dave was such a pleasant person, and so enjoyed singing in the choir. He will be singing in heaven's choir. Wishing all of his family peace.
