Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 13, 2014.

D'AMICO
DOLORES "DORY" SHANNON
85, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014. Dolores was born to David and Marguerite Shannon in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1946 and subsequently worked for Gulf Oil Corporation. In 1958, she met her future husband, John D'Amico, and followed him and his career to California where the two wed in Hollywood on January 16, 1960. John and Dolores had two sons, Scott and Brian. In July 1965, the family moved to Fort Worth, TX. Dolores was a homemaker and active in both the Pasadena Presbyterian Church in California, where she was a secretary and Westminster Presbyterian in Fort Worth where she was a member for almost 50 years. She was a very thoughtful and caring person. She is survived by her husband, John; sons, Scott of Fort Worth, TX and Brian of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Jean Shannon of Pittsburgh; cousin, Tom Simcox of Brecksville, OH; nephews, Jeff Shannon of Crawford, TX and Mark Shannon of Pittsburgh, PA; niece, Jill Cooper of Mars, PA; and many close friends whom she knew from school, work, church, and as neighbors. The family would like to thank Dr. Hogg, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and all the friends and members of the Church who visited her during her last days.
