Dear Jim and Family,

So sorry to hear about your Dad. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Chris and Uncle Wayne
December 9, 2017
Mr. Beckwith, as he was known to me and my brother Eric, was the father of my best childhood friend, Chris. I have many warm memories of visiting his house and playing board games with Chris and Jim. Mr. Beckwith allowed us to stay up all night and play games, watch TV, eat his food and later drink beer with nary a complaint. He was a rock steady parental presence that always made me feel welcome. There were tough times that he weathered, along with my father, when the steel industry waned in Pittsburgh. However, he took that in stride and provided a warm house where I had many childhood adventures and fun times. I can't say enough about how well he treated me and my brother. My condolences to the whole Beckwith family on their loss.

Mr. Beckwith, as he was known by me and my brother Eric, was a rock steady father figure that I always felt comfortable around when visiting my best childhood friend, Chris. The Beckwith household was always the scene of fun times and I have such warm memories of Mr. Beckwith and Mrs. Beckwith comfortably overseeing things. He could have a gruff exterior sometimes but always let Chris and us play board games, watch TV and later drink beer with Jim without any complaints. My brother and I always felt comfortable at the Beckwith house and I am very grateful for that. There were tough times for Mr. Beckwith and family (as was there for my own family)when his job was affected by the loss of steel industry related jobs but he came through it well. This is a great loss and I offer my sincerest condolences to all in the Beckwith family.
