Ronnie was a great basketball player for Westminster. As a high schooler atNeshannock I used to go see him play against college teams in 1960 -61. He frequently left defenders in knots while he arched home his beautiful jump shot. Later in life I came to Westminster as the McKee Professor of Economics and Business, and we played noon time basketball against each other frequently. He was a great athlete throughout his life, and a great coach and friend. So sorry to read of his passing, but he will always remain a legend in Western Pennsylvania.

My brother and I went to one of Ron's first basketball camps at Geneva College. My sons also went to his camp when they were of age.
I knew Ron my whole life and played many great racquetball matches against him through the years. I considered him a good friend. He lived near my mother these past few years, and she saw him often. He and his wife Pat were always there when she needed a hand.
God Bless him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My kids attended Coach Galbreath's camps at Westminster College for years. Long before that I heard of him from my father who was a college basketball ref. Ron and Jerry West were my dad's all time favorite players because of their skill for sure but because of their demeanor even more. I heard many stories of him growing up. We crossed paths every season of hoops at playoff games. It was a PLEASURE to share our love of the game. I am sad I won't see him this year. Last time I saw him was at a playoff game last year at Slippery Rock. Much love to the Galbreath family. Obviously you all know what a legend he was not only on the court but in life. My sincerest sympathies.

So sorry to hear about Coach. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Coach Galbreath was a great coach, but even a better man. He will be missed.
