Clinton Crowley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 23, 2013.

JONESPORT - Clinton Edgar Crowley passed away Jan. 17, 2013, with family by his side. He was born June 17, 1937, in Jonesport, to Noyes and Elvira (Beal) Crowley.

After graduating from Jonesport High School in 1956, Clinton studied at Maine Vocational Technical Institute and graduated in 1958. He worked for many years as a tool and die maker for Ametek, volunteered for Jonesport Ambulance Service, Arnold Memorial Medical Center Board and Gaelic Square Senior Apartments Board, and retired from Moosabec Community School District where he was a custodian and bus driver. Clinton was known best for his ability to fix anything from rebuilding a lawnmower to tuning up the "Laura W" for the World's Fastest Lobster Boat Races. He was the best husband, Daddy and Papa anyone could ever ask for. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Clinton was predeceased by his parents, Noyes and Elvira Crowley; his in-laws, F. Eugene and Anne Schoppee; and his son-in-law, Lindell Beal. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Crowley; his daughters, Lisa Graham and her husband, Tony, and Pam Beal; his son, William Crowley and his wife, Tara; his grandsons, Darren Graham, Garet Beal, Kristian Crowley and Kaiden Crowley; and his sister-in-law, Judy Wood and her husband, Gerald, and their children, Ellen Reynolds, Jeanne Day and David Wood.

Services for Clinton will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Sunrise Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, care of Lisa Cirone, 11 Ocean St., Jonesport, ME 04649. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias.
