The family of the Rev. Irvin W. Sloan would like to thank all of our relatives, friends, and colleagues who stood by us in our time of need. From a family who helps other families in their time of loss; the acts of kindnesses, sympathy cards, food, and offered assistance from others is appreciated. To the Staff of Botetourt Funeral Homes, we thank each one of you for your devotion to your ministry of care. To the members and former members of the Good News Baptist Church, we thank you for your love and devotion to your former pastor. To Good Samaritan Hospice, our thanks of your care and love shown. To the DAV Honor Guard of the Roanoke Valley, thank you for the honors and respect given for our Father.
There is no time when you are ready for the loss of your parent. But the love and care received by our family from the community speaks so well of the areas of the Roanoke Valley, Buchanan, Botetourt County, Boones Mill, and Franklin County.
With Love, wife, Edna; daughter, Joyce and family; and son, Ray and family.
