Artimez, Joyce Elaine SAN MARCOS --Joyce Elaine Artimez (JJ) passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on December 24, 1952 in St. Joseph, Missouri. After graduating from Central High School there in 1970, she moved to Southern California. JJ enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and being with her cats, Harley and Lucy. She was employed by Rocco's Dental Lab for the last 20 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, Francis and Ruth Miller; her brother, David; and her mother-in-law, Patricia. She is survived by her husband, Donald Artimez IV; her daughter, Jennifer Archuleta (Roger); her son, Robert Ludwig; her sister, Jeanette Dickinson (Troy); grandchildren, Joseph and Miranda Archuleta; and numerous members of the Miller and Artimez clans. Special thanks to The Elizabeth Hospice for all their help. Donations may be made to The Elizabeth Hospice, Inc. in Escondido in JJ's name. I was lucky to be Joyce's nurse until I moved, I was saddened to hear of her passing. I always enjoyed talking and joking around with her. Her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.
