Roderick W. Ulma, of Smith Mountain Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was 65 years old. He was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran, who served on the USS Kitty Hawk from 1966 to 1970.
He was a loving husband to Patricia A. Ulma for 42 years; and father of Christopher R. Ulma, James P. Ulma, Pamela Ulma, and Matthew T. Ulma. His grandchildren are James Patrick Ulma, Elise Faverio, William Ulma, and Samantha Hanks.
