Mrs. Straub was a devoted 5th grade teacher. She taught us about the states and capitals. I appreciate her dedicated teaching. She taught me a great deal that year. Condolences to her family. Mr. Straub drove bus for activities I attended, and Kara and I were in the same graduating class. Mrs. Straub is remembered by many.

You taught us fractions and the importance of wearing a baseball mitt. I'm afraid some of my fellow students liked to play dumb just to see how frustrated they could make you. I remember being fascinated on field trips when Mr. Straub would drive the bus. My fifth grade daughter presented a state report last year, but it didn't end with a Hawaiian luau at Heise. That was a great end to the year.

Dear Straub Family,
We were so sad to learn of the passing of Sylvia. She was such a great lady! Please accept our sympathy and condolences.
