Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Aunt Vera was a sweet lady with a big laugh. Her warmth was a gift to any gathering. My thoughts are with you.

MY thoughts are with all of you. I am sure she is in a place with no pain and I always think of her as someone who likes to laugh. I am sure she can do that. I have wonderful memories of Aunt Vera and the visits with the Idaho branch of the family--carrying her paintings back from my cross country trip, her laughing as we rearranged family groups for photos in the backyard at N Bellin Rd., and her telling me to make sure I tell Uncle Tim that I was excited to go on the tour of the site (that was my first trip out in the 1970s). I am sorry for your loss.

We wish to extend our sincerest condolences to Uncle Tim, Dan, John, Sharon, and Tim. Aunt Vera will always be remembered as a kind, funny, and creative aunt who generously shared many of her paintings with us when we visited her home. I don't remember a time when she wasn't in pain, but it never seemed to affect her spirit or diminish her sense of humor or her kindness. She was always a beacon of strength, true grace in the face of adversity. While I know you will all miss her greatly, be comforted in the knowledge that she brought much beauty to those around her, through her painting and through her presence. Sincerely, Carrie (Stickley), Bill, Carly, and Samantha Brooks
