My first introduction to Harold Goldberg was when I was 12 years old. My own father died just two years before. Being the gentle, nurturing couple they were, he and his wife Grace embraced me as their daughter's new dear friend. Because they were so loving and respectful with their children and with each other, even as a young girl, I knew they were truly unique and special people.

To this day, Barbara and I have a special sisterly bond of friendship. My last visit with Harold was in 2011. He was still the gentle man, the kind and generous man, and the wonderful father to Barbara and Larry that he always was. He dearly loved his grandson Kris.

Rest in peace and with Grace, dear Dr. Goldberg. You were a loving husband to Grace, father to Barbara and Larry, grandfather to Kris, and father-in-law to Mark and Raquel. Your family and friends will forever miss you and love you.

My condolences to the family. He was my childhood Doctor in Gary, Indiana. I remember his gentleness with me and his kindness to my Mother.

My dear friend Barbara's father, Harold, left a loving imprint on my heart. He delighted over the sweet things of life--a great steak or a favorite sub sandwich; oscar-won blockbuster movies or a funny t.v. commercial. Easygoing, always concerned about the comfort of others, Harold was a gentleman to everyone and so loved his family.

What a generous, kind and thoughtful man who will be well remembered and truly missed. We will continue to always love those special people who gave others so much love and joy and made our lives so much better. I will be thinking of all your family.
