I worked with Dave for a number of years at Western Electric; He was one of the nicest people that I have ever met and I was blessed to have had his friendship. He was loved by many ;certainly including me. When he would talk to me he would start by saying " You know Richie my boy ..........". He was a great Man.

Lewie was my childhood buddy in the 50's and 60's. From Kindergarten on we spent Summers at St John's catechism class. Kickball ,recess , a bottle of Levengood's Orange Drink and a bag of chips were our favorite things. We enjoyed being Altar Boys - figured it'd get us into Heaven. We attended St John's School for 7th and 8th grade and got our hands smacked by the Nuns with a Fly-Bak paddle whenever we got into trouble. An it seemed we were always in trouble!

We both played Knee-Hi baseball (Pottstown's version of Little League at the time).Dave played for St' John's and I played for the North End Fire Company. His team beat mine the one game we played against each other. It took me a long time to live that one down. The next year we played together on the Raiders in the Junior League and won the championship. We spent two weeks at an over night Summer Camp in Butler, PA. It was a big deal for kids of our age to be so far away from home. We were homesick the first week and hated the food, but loved our second week there. Dennis Cutillo and my brother Jim also went with us.I recall it cost us about $20/wk. Imagine that!

Lewie also played on the St'John's men's recreation league basketball team. We weren't very good but had fun. After the 8th grade we went to different schools and didn't do as many things at the Church so we lost touch. I was stunned to hear the news.

I'll always have great memories of you Lewie. You made growing up at that time a lot of fun for me. I hope I did the same for you. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Your buddy,

Tom Parvenski
Somers, Ct.

David will truly be missed here at The Lowa Group. Such a fun loving and caring person. My heart goes out to the family for strength and peace during this very hard time. He will always live in our hearts.
