Ed and I served together as Air Observers in the CG Auxiliary. Just found out Ed passed after reading the March Minutes of the Reading CG Auxiliary where late mention was made of his passing. Ed was a down to earth kind of guy and a good friend who I lost contact with after he dropped out of the Auxiliary due to unavailability to fly because of work conflicts. RIP Ed.

I didn't learn of Ed's passing until
yesterday, when Daria called me! I am reeling in disbelief and sadness. I used to love to visit and had countless great
memories with both with Ed and Daria. Ed was a caring friend whom I will miss dearly. Rest in peace,Ed.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to you and your family in the passing away of Ed. He was such a gentleman. We go way back as teenagers 1962. I was his date for his Senior Prom. He was good friends to his neighbor Dennis Chappie and we would swim in the pool next to his home on Rt. 724 because his Father had a swimming pool business. One night after they dropped me off at my home, Ed was extremely beaten up by some older guys and I witness it and he did his own detective work to find these guys. He did and it went to court. I think thats why he went into the law enforcement. Ed is now an Angel of protection for you all. Peace and Blessings, Cindy Griffiths Cotter
