Evelyn M. (Ullman) Gamble, 92, of Parkhouse Providence Pointe in Royersford, wife of the late James H. Gamble Jr., died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George A. and Anna (Deschler) Ullman.
A homemaker born in Collegeville, Pa., in 1920, Evelyn was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Schwenksville, Pa., where she also lived for a period of time.
Evelyn enjoyed crafts, bird-watching and traveling, especially to see covered bridges.
She's been living at Parkhouse Providence Pointe for the last year.
Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Marie, wife of Phong Le, of Lansdale, Pa., Betty Gamble, of Schwenksbville, Pa., and Donna Batzell, of Skippack, Pa., and one son, James Gamble III, husband of Lori, of Gilbertsville, Pa. She's also survived by her sisters, Eva Kramer, of Phoenixville, Pa., Irene Yashura, of Phoenixville, Mary Gauger, of Pottstown, Pa., and a sister-in-law, Ann Ullman, of Royersford, Pa. Additionally, Evelyn is survived by her two granddaughters, Donna Batzell and Karen Weniger, and two great-gradnchildren, Indy and Juliette Weniger.
Along with her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, John H. Gamble, a sister, Betty Sabol, and five brothers: Albert, Lewis, George, Norman and Richard Ullman.
Her memorial service will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 251 Perkiomen Ave., Schwenksville, Pa. The Rev. Susan Hanson will officiate.
Friends may call Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private in the Schwenksville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Parkhouse Providence Pointe Residents Fund, 1600 Black Rock Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
