WALTON R. STANLEY, 74, OF GILBERTSVILLE Walton R. Stanley, 74, of Gilbertsville, husband of Elda Marie (Shaner) Stanley, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was the son of the late Walton and Mabel Stanley of Collegeville, PA. Walton served in the United States Army and later worked at DANA Corp. in Pottstown. He enjoyed being outdoors and doing yard work. Surviving along with his wife Elda are two step-sons Eugene Rothenberger husband of Barbara Ann, and Gregory Rothenberger husband of Barbara; one step-daughter Karen Jensen wife of Lonnie; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services are private. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville is in charge of arrangements. Walt and I were friends in the US Army. Stationed in Frankfurt/W. Berlin Germany together in 1962-1963. my condolence.

Walt and I used to drink a beer on Saturday afternoons after mowing our yards. He was a good guy.
