MARY ELLA MOURAR, 86 Mary Ella "Sis" Mourar, 86, widow of Buck Ogden Mourar, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA. She was born in Chester County to the late E. Morris and Mary E. (White) Strickland. She attended Warwick High School and was a homemaker. Sis was a member of Pughtown Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gertie A. Mourar, of Pottstown; son, Buck K. Mourar, of Bensalem; sister, Ann McAfee, of Pughtown; brothers, Ray Strickland and wife, Patricia, of Watkins Glen, NY; E. Morris Strickland and wife Marsha, of Pottstown; one granddaughter, Mary Amarene McClune and husband, Sean of O'Fallon, IL, and great-grandchildren, Avery and Madeline McClune. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Theodore and Thomas Strickland. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Pughtown Baptist Church, 780 Pughtown Road, Spring City. Officiating will be Rev. Carl Simmers. Calling time is from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a hospice program of your choice.
