ROBERT LEE RUBENDALL JR., 61, OF TOWANDA Robert Lee (Bob) Rubendall Jr., 61, of Towanda, Pa. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 16, 2013, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Robert Lee (Bob) Rubendall Jr. was born September 8, 1952 in Pottstown, Pa., one of six children in the family of Robert Sr. and Delores (Nolan) Rubendall formerly of Shamokin, Pa. Bob graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School in Collegeville, Pa. where he played football and later served our country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Air Force. Bob was an active and faithful member of the New Life church. He served in many capacities including teaching the Understanding God class for Adults, playing the drums for their worship team. An avid sports fan and outdoors man, Bob enjoyed watching football, baseball and liked deer hunting. In addition to his parents Robert Sr. and Delores Rubendall of Schwenksville, Pa., Bob is survived by his wife Caroline; two step children, Jennifer(Mark) Sheeley of Ulster, Pa. and Seth Pickett (Fiancee Maria Padilla) both of Canton, Pa.; eight step grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Heather, Logan, Isaac, Madison, Jada and Jacey; three sisters and two brothers, Betsy (Steve) Bernstiel of San Antonio, Fl., Mary Ellen (Phil) Schaffer of Wernersville, Pa., Bruce (Tracy) Rubendall of Douglassville, Pa., Rick (Amy) Rubendall of Blountville, Tn., Darlene (John) Gemmell of Wernersville, Pa. along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his step daughter, Sarah Pickett Blankenship and nephew Cory Rubendall. Funeral services were held at the New Life Church, 299 McMurray Road in Canton Twp., with Burial at Franklin Center Cemetery. Memorials and funding to defray the burial expenses may be made to Caroline Rubendall c/o New Life Church, 299 McMurray Rd. Canton, Pa.
