Joey wasn't just a typical high school boy. He was a friend to EVERYONE, an amazing athlete, a classmate, brother, and most of all, a hilarious kid. He was the first kid to talk to me on my first day of 6th grade on the bus. He got on the bus and said Delia? aren't you in 6th grade why are you back here? ah who cares stay back here with us. This shows how much he cared for everyone, he was never mean to anyone, couldn't go 5 minutes without complimenting someone or making them laugh. I played football with Joey this year on Arlington's JV team. That was the best year of football I've played in all my years of playing. No matter how much we were losing by he always found a way to make us laugh. Even at practice he'd make us crack up. As an example, there was this one day when one kid on the team walked in late to practice and said sorry coach I was at math, and our coach said ahh I'm not buying it and Joey, in a split second said why not it;s for sale coach! This is just an example of his quick witted, hilarious sense of humor. Joey may be gone, but he will NEVER EVER be forgotten. #54 will live in my heart forever, and every game that I play, whether baseball, or football, goes to you Joey. I love you. R.I.P
Farewell brother until we meet again. You will live in our hearts forever. "Unable are the loved to die for love is immortality" - Emily Dickerson. We were blessed to have you as our friend.
