I was a secretary at Caterpillar when Bob worked there and he sat a desk or two away from me. He was so handsome when he walked in in the morning in his suit and tie. At the time I was a young widow as my husband died of a brain aneurysm at the age of 20 in 1956 and I was 18. I've tried to keep track of Bob through the years and was sad to read in our Port St. Lucie paper that he had died of a brain aneurysm. Never talked that much with Bob but I'm sure he knew how my husband died since I was a widow at such a young age. Also didn't realize that we were the same age. So happy to read that he loved the Lord. May the Holy Spirit give you comfort during your time of grief.

Bob worked at the "phone box" with my husband, Roger Stuhmer. I have fond memories of those years, and Bob always kept things upbeat and jovial. Rest in peace . Carole Stuhmer HotSprings Village, Ar.

You will always be remembered as a major piece of history for me. Thanks for sharing your talents and just being yourself. I honor you.

Bob went out of his way to support and lobby for me when I was replaced as Husker football radio play-by-play radio announcer. I never asked him to do that. He did it in his own. He was that kind of friend. I am missing his phone calls and our chats about everything under the sun.
