Dudek, Chester
Chester Dudek, 89 of Endicott, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Monday, December 30, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings and a daughter Cheryl. He is survived by his wife Sharon; daughter Linda (Dave) Schultz, Largo, FL; step daughter Tricia (Bruce) Fuller, Massachusetts; grandchildren Scott (Karey) Russo; Mark Russo and Tristen Fuller; two great grandchildren Amber and Alanna. Chet owned and operated Chet's Arco in both Maine and Union Center. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army and was also a Bronze Star recipient. Some of his memberships included BPOE Elks Lodge #1977, Endicott, American Legion Post 1700 and the Major Ray H. Humphrey, DSC VFW Post 1449, both of Endicott. Graveside Services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Maine Cemetery, Route 26 North, Maine NY. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

I'm sorry to here Chet has pass on, I just found out at the last meeting. Chet was a great ELK. I enjoyed talking with him about the hunting club he belonged to. Everyone that knew Chet liked him and never had a bad word for him and Chet always had a good word for everyone. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Linda. So very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. His garage was a favorite stop for me when I was a kid delivering papers in Maine. Bought my first shotgun from him - still have it - a Deerslayer. Also remember him working on my cars. he was a gentleman. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I vividly remember Chet from my own little league days at J Ralph Ingalls, when after a ball game, Chet always handed out ice cream to the players and asked about the game. Chet knew how to do things the right way and treated people they way people should be treated. My condolences to the family.
