Litts, Cortlandt
On Thursday, June 5, 2014, Cortlandt Litts, 89, passed away at his home in Endwell, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Florence Litts; in-laws Hawley and Mary Davis; son, Cortlandt Litts, Jr.; and eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Litts; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and David Williams of Vestal; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Dianne Litts of Branchburg, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law Edwin and Amy Litts of Schenectady, NY and several grandchildren; Jeffrey and his wife Anna, Joshua and his wife Kara, Parker, Collin, Melissa, Tyler, and Tanner. He was an active member of Church of the Holy Family and its Holy Name Society, and was a lector and usher. He was a retired purchasing agent with General Electric and a veteran of WWII, proudly serving in both the US Marine Corp and the Navy. Cortlandt was also an avid golfer. He was a loving husband for 58 years. Cortlandt enjoyed his family and will be greatly missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 9:45 to 10:50 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Church of the Holy Family.

I was sorry to read of Cort's passing. I remember him as a great guy who did a lot of work at OLA. I'll remember him at Mass this week.
