Reese, Eldon

Greensboro: Mr. Eldon "Bud" Reese, 84, of Pleasant Garden, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday at Vandalia Baptist Church with Reverend Donnie Oates officiating. The burial will follow at Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bud was born December 20, 1930, in Williamsport, PA to the late Howard and Anna Reese. He was a faithful member of Vandalia Baptist Church where he and his wife enjoyed time spent with the "Senior Saints." He was employed by the Town of Union in Endwell, NY and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Bud is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Boyd Reese; his children, Gary Reese (Vanessa), Randy Reese (Vicki), Bonita Clark and Karen Chandler (Fred); brother, Lee Reese; sister, Shirley Snavely (Ken); 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Monday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be made to Vandalia Baptist Church, 3925 Pleasant Garden Road, Greensboro, NC 27406, Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
