With deepest sympathies and heart felt sorrow over the loss of your father, we pray for comfort and consolation for our dear friends Greg, Peggy, and family, and brother Michael.
Dear Aunt Helen and the entire family,
Evelyn and I extend our heartfelt condolences at the passing of “Uncle Mike.” We knew how sick he was when he came to dad's funeral in February, but he did his best to be strong in front of us all. We were just so glad to be able to sit and talk with him.
Growing up, I always remember how Uncle Mike would be the one to drop everything he was doing to help out by coming to the house to fix something; whether it was the car, a household appliance, or whatever wasn't working. He always had that special tool, silver solder, or understanding of how things were made that got the job done. When dad and Uncle George would be stymied, inevitably, one of them would say, “Let's call Mikey. He'll be able to figure it out.” And sure enough, he did.
Mostly though, we'll remember Uncle Mike as someone who always seemed to have a big smile and a good word for everyone. In that respect, he was a lot like Baba Hritcko. Someone who would just make you feel good by being around them.
We'll miss him dearly.
Vechnaya Pamyat! May his memory be eternal.
