Rick & family,
I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I never had the pleasure to meet him but from reading the obituary he was a special guy. My sympathy for your loss.
Jean,Debbie and Rick, oour heartfelt condolences to each of you. Dick was truly a great guy. My visits to your home (and to the fort) in my high school years through my friendship with Rick were truly enjoyable. I learned through that and playing sports with Rick what a great man Dick was. We are thinking of you and have you all in our prayers.
Jeanne and family.... Mr. Pedro taught me all about The American Legion working as a staff member under his professional guidance and supervision as long as he was Department Adjutant. I remember him coming into the office each morning with a smile and greeting each of his staff with a bright "Good Morning" and as we each left for the day he always replied "Have A Good Evening"....and now I say to him Good-Bye, God Bless and Rest In Peace. My personal condolences go out to each of you. Sincerely
To the whole Pedro and Hackett families our sincere condolences at this difficult time. Mr Pedro was truly a class act. He lived to do good for others, and that quality in a man is so hard to find today. I am sure you are all proud to have him in your lives for so long. Hang on to the memories until you meet again. May God Bless you all and help you through this tuff time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The Bohunicky Family!

Jean and Family:
I never met a person so dedicated to an organization and a cause as Dick was to the American Legion and his country. I remember when the Legion took a position on the burning of the American flag, Dick was the most eloquent spokesperson I have ever heard in support of the issue. As a past State Commander of the SAL and Chaplain of the National, Dick was always encouraging and supportive of my endeavors. He was the best.
I am so deeply saddened by Dick's passing.
It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well lived life.
He was a great friend to all. I will miss his smile and the many talks we had. His kindness always touched my heart.
