My prayers to your family. I was not aware of Sarah's passing. There is no greater loss than that of our child.
Right now Sarah is more fully alive then she ever was while here on earth, which is really saying something, since Sarah lived life, lived every moment, every minute to the fullest degree. In affirmation of the truth that she is living, my writing will reflect this as I write in the present tense.
Sarah's eyes are always the feature that stand out most - bright and joyful, dancing with life and a sparkle of the unconventional ;) Her enthusiasm, out-going personality and ever-evolving ideas are certainly keeping the heavenly population on its toes even as you read this now. Sarah is a dreamer...always hoping and believing this or that thing can be pursued and accomplished, ever reaching beyond limits and boundaries to explore past and beyond. Is it any wonder she loved horses so much? Animals whose natural instinct mirror the longing of her soul? I imagine Sarah now front-and-center, perhaps even hand-in-hand with her cousin Emilee, fully engaged in the heavenly action of creating and designing, contributing unimagineable beauty and delight, and ensuring there is an element of surprise and the unexpected - entirely appropriate for the mysteries of heaven - certain to lift our hearts in wonder when we arrive to take it all in. Sarah's evident and genuine love for her Lord continues to grow as she experiences Him now face-to-face. And I picture them walking, hands held and swinging, Jesus doubled over laughing at the latest "spontaneous-Sarah-words" expressed, as He utterly delights in her, His precious dearly loved child.
Sarah, we celebrate you and all God has made you to be! You are a gift to our lives, and we carry you in our hearts always. Just thinking of you I can't help but smile :) Steve, Beth and Laura, we continue to wrap you in our love and prayers. God WILL hold you together. He will not waste your pain. He counts your every tear. He is the Healer of the broken-hearted. He will, He will carry you through. Sarah's life continues to be lived. And we walk beside you now in your journey here on earth until you are reunited with Sarah once again.
With Much Love & Affection,
Dear Beth & Family: Our deepest sympathies to you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I wish I had known Sarah, but I'm sure that like her mother, she touched many lives. Hugs to you and much love, Kris
Precious Sarah, our first born grandchild, is now with God and the others that went before. We will miss her natural talents that will not have the opportunity to blossom. The last time we were with Sarah was Laura's graduation party. It was plain to see that she was ready to attack the world with her usual enthusiasm. We will always love and miss "Dear Sarah". Grandma and Grandad Glass.
Sarah was my counselor for many years at the ranch. She is the reason I am who I am today. Sarah is the one who guided me my first game of paintball, who encouraged me to be more spontaneous and try things I would never have thought of doing, and she was the person who was with me when I accepted Jesus into my life as my Lord and savior for the first time. Thinking of her now of course makes me sad but more than that it makes me smile and laugh and think of all the people she impacted and how many amazing memories Ive had with her. Not a day goes by when I don't think of the best counselor I've ever had and the most real and inspiring person I will ever meet. I love and miss you Sarah and I know you are watching over us.
We will always remember Sarah with love and the wonderful times we had with her during family gatherings. Her wonderful ability to put people at ease, tell funny stories, and make everyone laugh were just some of her special gifts. Sarah's love for the Lord and others was so transparent in everything she said and did. We are sure she is having a ball in heaven! We look forward to seeing her again in our heavenly home.
Sarah, Vivacious is the word that will always describe who you are to me. You lived your life to the full on earth. You cherished each moment. I remember sitting with you and your family on the eve of going to Liberty. You were excited about your transition to college and all the promise of your future in Lynchburg. But, you were also fully involved in what was unfolding in your life right then which was summer camp. I can only imagine that today you are still living life to the full in the presence of your Lord. I can see your eyes brighten and flash with excitement as you worship the One who gave you such an abundant and satisfying life. The last time our eyes met you were on your way home after our family breakfast at Friendlys. You smiled and waved. I smiled back. I know now that we weren't saying goodbye but simply "see you later." One day we will be together again and when we are I can't wait to see and hear you living life to the full eternally.
I wake up so many mornings thinking of Sarah. The beginning of tears usually ends up in a chuckle when I remember her ... she has the ability to invoke a smile even from Heaven.
How does one begin to describe the feeling of loss for someone so beautiful inside and outside;a heart as big as her zest for life and with a fun-loving sense of humor that always kept everyone on their toes? The special way that you touched so many lives in your brief time on this Earth was exhibited through your deep faith and in carrying out His work - always so selfless, caring and giving toward others. You were certainly OUR (super) hero and will continue to be missed each and every day. Love and peace always,
Sarah, though I never met you it seems you were an amazing young lady. In your short time here you were able to accomplish so much. We will keep your family in our prayers and are so excited to know that your are with God in heaven. I'm am sure your family will miss you and looks forward to reuniting with you. God Bless
We miss our sweet, funny, spontaneous, beautiful, joyful, creative, entertaining, tuba-playing, crew-rowing, deep-thinking, superhero-admiring, paint-ball-playing, God-loving, first-born niece more than words can express! We are thankful that God blessed us with you for 23 years, and we so enjoyed being your aunt and uncle. There is an emptiness and an ache in our hearts that will never go away, and even though we know you are rejoicing in Heaven and we will see you again one day, losing you has changed our lives here on earth forever. When you left us, you took with you some of the light and color, and our lives will never be the same.
We will always love and miss you, Sarah!
You were our beloved niece and we will never forget you dearest Sarah.
Missing you so much, Sarah!
Steve, Laura and I are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support and encouragement in this Guest Book. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts--it means so much to us. It blesses us immensely to hear about how Sarah impacted each of your lives through your words and pictures.
This isn't goodbye...the book will remain online at least until next August. Just wanted to express our thanks to all of you...you've given us a gift that will last a lifetime and be passed down for generations to come.
Much love to all and God bless.
Beth and family, I am extremely sorry to hear of your loss. I only met Sarah a few times in my Zumba class and what an amazing personality. Loved having her in class. I'm sure where she is, she is making people smile. My heart goes out to you! <3
I had a class with Sarah in 2011, and she was one of the most creative, outgoing, and sweet people I've ever met. She was always offering to help others with their work - such a giving, selfless person. She really made a difference in the lives of others.
I was privileged to have Sarah for two classes at LU. Additionally, my step-son was a teammate of hers on the Crew. News of her passing deeply saddened me though, I am confident she is now with her Savior. She had a unique and wonderful perspective on life. I will miss her joy and spirit.
Sarah was an amazing woman who had a heart for God. She took almost everyone under her wing in the Spirit of the Mountain. She was a great tuba player and will always be part of the tuba family. She had a presious laugh and an amazing smile. Sarah will be greatly missed but, we all know we will be able to share another laugh in heaven. The tubes love you Sarah. Xoxo
What stands out to me about Sarah is the way that she was always positive, always joyful, always full of God's love for others.
As I pray for the family, I can't help but think of God smiling at her arrival, greeting her with a great hug and the words we all long so desperately to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
We are mourning with you, and your family is in our prayers.
The Boyer Family
Dear Beth, Steve and Laura,
We are so, sad to hear about Sarah's death. We've been mourning for you from our new home here in Austin, TX.
You might not realize what a deep impact your daughter (sister) had on our daughter Natalie. The first year we took her to camp we were all teary and Natalie was having a hard time with us leaving. Sarah greeted her so kindly and I could tell she was just the right person to welcome Natalie.
Natalie's life was changed that week as she discovered a passion for camp and ministry. She now serves Austin's at-risk kids at fall, summer and spring camps as well as weekly gatherings. She took what Sarah modeled so beautifully for her and puts it into practice with all her might. We are forever grateful for your daughter and love that God allowed that one week of camp so many years ago to ripple out in the lives of so many. We will remember your family to the Father often and keep Sarah's life and passion alive.
With sadness and hope,
Brian, Tamara & Natalie Murphy
Sarah was such an awesome friend to have...when Halloween came around and I needed some awesome face painting skills Sarah was immediately recommended to me. We had a blast as she painted my face like the Cheshire Cat. Not only was she a lovely friend but an dedicated team mate. I will miss her spunk and vivacious love of life. God Bless.
So very sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I'm sure she is shaking up heaven with her magical personality...a true angel indeed. You are all certainly in our daily thoughts and prayers. Love you so very much!
As you know, I was pregnant with my firstborn the same time you were. I remember sharing moments together, "Did you feel the baby move yet?" "Did you hear the heartbeat yet?", etc. As my son Paul Donato Jr is 6 months older than Sarah was, My heart was so very heavy for you. And also, as you said, I am sure she is lighting up Heaven with her stories, testimonies, and love. She was a BEAUTIFUL person both inside and out. Prayers and hugs in my heart for all of you. Get in touch with me if there is ANY WAY I can help.
Steve, Beth and Laura, One of my fondest memories was helping you plan for Sarah's graduation party. She was an amazing young woman who inspired so many others with her humor and faith. You are in my heart and prayers for healing. Denise
So sorry for your loss. I knew her my first year of marching band at UE, when I was in 8th grade and she was a senior. She was so kind-hearted and fun-spirited. Thoughts are with you and the family.
Steve, Beth, and Laura, So sorry to hear of the loss of Sarah. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.
It has been several years since my last interaction with Sarah but she was always a pleasant, fun-loving girl. God bless you all with much comfort in these difficult days. Rejoice knowing that Sarah is now praising her Creator and looks forward to you joining her.
Our condolences are with you
Beth, Steve & Laura,
Our love, daily thoughts and prayers are with you. We will never forget Sarah as a baby and as a small child when we lived nearby and all of the happy memories we made together. She was precious and special from the start....she lived her life in a big way and touched so many people. She was a true Christian and her life will most certainly continue to inspire ours for the rest of our lives. Love, Linda, Neil and Christina Garrigan
I am deeply sorry for your loss! Even though I am an online student, I am sure that I would have definitely become friends with Sarah if I was a resident student. She left amazing footprints in other people's lives. She must have been a good hearted, kind, selfless person. That is so hard to find these days! She must have been a wonderful angel of God here on Earth. The only difference is that now she shall be in Heaven. She never leaves your side for her spirit walks with you wherever you go. I trust in God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Jesus that all of them are your strength, your courage, your rock, your shoulder to cry on and, most of all your light in this moment of darkness. Thank you for giving life to such a beautiful person. God bless!Liz.
Steve, Beth, and Laura,
We are praying for you all at this time of unspeakable loss. May Jesus be with you and give you the comfort and strength you need.
I did not personally know Sarah. Just reading the posts and seeing her picture. I am sure that if she and I were to cross paths I would have loved her. She seems like a bright and energetic young lady. While knowning that my words are not enough comfort for you, I know that you will find your comfort in the Lord. God takes the angels first. Sarah must have truly been an Angel. I pray that your family stays strong in your time of grief. God Bless you all!
Dear McKeowen Family,
I'm really saddened to hear of Sarah's passing this past week. Sarah was a fellow Graphic Design student and friend at Liberty during my last two years of studies. Her enthusiasm for life and creativity, as well as her wacky sense of humor will be very much missed. I'm rejoicing with her right now, but praying for your family during this time.
Dear McKeown Family I know of Sarah through Bob and Sandi Hardin. Two of our children attend Liberty and Sandi always spoke of Sarah with great affection as we shared this connection. We attended church with Bob and Sandi before moving to VA. We learned of Sarah's passing from Hilltown Baptist prayer chain and were so saddened by the news. Sarah obviously touched many lives. Our prayer is that the God of all comfort will surround you with HIS comfort and give you peace. The Young Family
Steve, Beth and Family,
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this very sad time. May you find comfort in your memories.
Sarah and I met at Liberty Fall of 2009. Since then, she was always fun to talk to and quite enthusiastic about everything she did. It is a tragedy and my heart and prayers go out to her family.
Sarah was my favorite I knew her from camp el rancho de paz and she was my consualr for 3 years I remember last year the last week of camp and last day we were crying together on stairs because it was the last day and everything was changing at the camp but we would have crazy sarah day and everrything we had so much fun together I loved her and so did the camp she is in a good plaxe with the lord
Sarah was my camp counselor at El Rancho for three years. She was a huge spiritual leader to me and truly helped me strengthen my relationship with God. I will always remember the memories she gave me that made my summer so much better. Her laugh and warm smile itself could just put you in a good mood. She's in God's hands and in my prayers.
Sarah was my first ever camp counselor. With her as an influence in my life and relationship with Christ, I learned and grew so much. She was a beautiful picture of delightful femininity meeting unabashed strength.
My love goes to her family, thank you for sharing Sarah with us. She will be deeply missed.
Beth, Steve and family,
Our hearts and prayers go out to you at the loss of your sweet Sarah.
May the kind words about your Sarah, in the many messages here, provide comfort in the coming days. Sarah was my daughter's counselor at El Rancho more than once. I remember her always saying, the night before camp started, "I hope Sarah is my counselor!" May your happy memories raise you up.
I loved when Sarah played the drums with the FPC Praise band. She played with such joy and enthusiasm. Her smile was contagious. When she met our parrot she was most impressed that she would poop on command. Sarah we will miss you! Someday I hope to hear you bang on the drums again!!
To be absent from the body is to be present in the Lord. Reuniting with Sarah one day, I rejoice in the hope that this brings. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
My husband and I met Sarah through Todd Smith at Blue Ridge community church. She will be greatly missed.
To the McKeown Family: Please accept the comfort and compassion I intend by my following prayer for your souls as you celebrate the homegoing of Sarah: "Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal Holy Spirit thank You for the soul of Sarah Elizabeth and Your Love shone through her soul during her 22 year earthly sojourn. Please draw the souls of her family members and community members close to Your Son Jesus for comfort and strength as they celebrate her journey home to You. Anoint their souls with salvation and grace as they adjust to to Sarah's absence in their earthly sojourns. Until we all rejoice in Your Presence I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
I did not personally know Sarah Elizabeth but as a online student with Liberty University I wanted to celebrate with you Sarah's homegoing.
Dear McKeowen Family, Our whole family is saddened to hear of the passing of Sarah. We knew her from UEHS's marching band and from youth group at your church. She was just radiant joy with her tuba! We are praying for you all.
I met Sarah when we were both Freshmen at Liberty. Always outgoing and always smiling. Shocked and saddened upon hearing the news. Even still, I know she is in a better place, with more reasons to smile than ever before.
I did not know Sarah that well, but my freshman year at Liberty I played with Sarah on a broom ball team. We also tie dyed our team shirts together. She always said hey when she saw me and constantly made me laugh. She will definitely be missed! Praying for Sarah's family and friends.
Sorry for the loss of Sarah..She will be missed..Is now in thew arms of Jesus..My prayers go out to the family and friends.
Beth and Steve,
I'm at a loss for words. Kaley and I are grieving with you on the news of Sarah's passing...Her huge heart, huge smile...We LOVED her Zest for life and fun quirky ways. We are so very sorry.
Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.
Praying for the family and friends of Sarah. I didn't personally know her as I'm a Liberty Online student but my prayers are still being sent as she was my Sister In-Christ.
Sarah and I met working together at scaremare. She helped me learn the stilts extremely fast and we had an awesome night scaring people and having fun. She was one of my favorite people ever to work with and she has personally that probably no one else has. Sarah my heart is broken and I will miss you dearly.
Sarah was my student at Liberty University several years ago and I remember her outgoing personality. She was very talented and I always enjoyed looking at her projects. I would see her throughout the years and she would always ask me how I was doing and take time to catch up. I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss and please know that her Liberty University family is praying for you!
Professor of Information Technology
I didn't personally know Sarah; however, my condolences go out to the family and friends that will miss her.
For you, Sarah! The talks we had in the car helped me with my daughter in so many ways! Thank you! I will miss you this semester! Betsy at church would always send out texts about a girl who needs a ride to church! I always knew it was you! My kids loved having you along for the ride! So funny! So true! You really lived your life to it's fullest! I was envious of that, I'll admit. I loved your character, your condor and honesty! Our loss is Heaven's gain! Love you girl!
Sarah was a wonderful teammate and held high spirits in every situation. I am so glad that I was able to meet her and get to know her as a friend, and she definitely had an impact on my thinking in the time I spent with her. She really taught me and others to not be afraid of who we are on the inside, and to let that person shine through. We will miss you Sarah! I hope the party in heaven is just what you expected.
Dear Beth, Steve, and Laura,
It was heartbreaking to hear of beautiful Sarah's passing. I'm praying for you to find comfort and peace.
Praying for your loss at this very difficult time. Your daughter was a wonderful camp counselor to my daughter at El Rancho. She was always singing and upbeat. She encouraged my son to go to paintball camp and other events. She made a lasting impression on us and will be truly missed. She was a bright light shining!
I did not know Sarah I am a Liberty Online student, but as I read the stories and look at her pictures I know that she was loved and is now an Angel looking after all her loved ones. Please accept my prayers and condolences for all who knew and loved her.
When I heard the news that Sarah had passed away I instantly recalled the time I talked with her at UEHS. I came back home for a visit to her Graphic Design class to talk about my job as a designer to some aspiring students. Most of the students never care that I come in to talk, but Sarah was one of those students whose eyes lit up when I was talking. I could tell that she was genuinely inspired and passionate about what she was doing, when she came up to me when the class ended and thanked me for spending my time with them. Other than that I didn't know Sarah personally, but I could tell that she had a bright future. My condolences to the McKeown family for your loss.
Mr. & Mrs. McKeown and family: Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of Sarah. She always so pleasant and kind to me when she came in to do her math work. I was always happy to see her. She will be missed.
Steve and Beth, So sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter.
I can't believe she is no longer with us, but I know she's with God and in a better place than we are, you are truly will be remember Sarah and may God be with your family ~ Vil Metayer?
My condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of Sarah. Even though I do not know her, as an alum "Champion for Christ," a parent and grand-parent, I feel the loss for others who have lost a loved ones.
I didn't know Sarah, as I am a Liberty Online student, but I feel as if I did as I read about her from these posts. She was an amazing person. Heaven has been blessed by her arrival. May God comfort you as you miss her. God bless you.
~ Mrs. Lisa Brown
You definitely were a bright light to me!
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
Only you would burn me a skillet cd, and when I pop it in, the first song is the theme to Hanna Montana.... I still have it too
I met Sarah in 2004 when I started going to youth group at First Pres. She was such a fun, lively person. Even if I had a bad day she would make me smile. I am blessed to have known her. What a tremendous loss for everyone here who knew her. But what a comfort to know she is with Jesus now.
I am an online student with Liberty. I did know her yet I was touched by the loss of her. PLease know I am praying for all that loved her. May GOd hold you all close during this time. Melinda Collins
To Sarah's Family:
I send my deepest sympathy today as a fellow Liberty senior awaiting the posting of my final grades. May the precious Holy Spirit comfort you and bring you peace. 2 Tim. 1:10
Sincerely, Katrina McIntyre/New Mexico
Saddened to hear of Sarah's passing. I loved her attitude and spirit. She will be missed. My prayers are with you.
She was always an incredible person to be around, and her personality was sure to make you smile, even during a cold morning at the lake or a regatta. My two years on the crew team with Sarah were unforgettable, and I know that there's no one who could ever replace her. You will be missed.
I had the great pleasure of having Sarah in a few of my graphic design classes at Liberty University. She was refreshingly offbeat and always 100% herself. She had a confidence and comfortability about herself that most people only dream of having. Everything she did had her glow about it. Saddened to hear of her passing. That glow will certainly be missed.
Rest in Peace Sarah, God Bless the Family and love ones.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Sarah lived in the dorm room across from mine freshman year. One night,Sarah decided she wanted to do mine and another girls make-up to look like we had been in a fight. She was always so creative and energetic. She is at home at peace with our Heavenly Father now. Praying for you all to find comfort throughout this painful time.
Steve, Beth and Laura, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Sarah. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this very sad time. Scott, Lisa and Max Danser
A fun and exciting person to be around. Broomball won't be the same without her!
I met Sarah in Marching Band and she helped to make my freshman year a few years back, memorable. Wasn't super close, but the few times we talked I could tell how excited about life she was.
Sarah, Thank you for all the late night talks on dorm 12. Thank you also for being a role model and never being afraid to be yourself. I pray for comfort for your family and friends.
I'm am shocked and saddened at the loss of your daughter. I met Sarah at the Liberty University post office. She was one of the most upbeat and unique persons one could ever meet. Our lost is heaven's gain.

Stephen and Beth,
We are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter.
Beth, Steve & Laura, Courtney spoke highly of your precious daughter Sarah. Bllly Joel was oh so right when he sang "Only the Good Die young." From reading all of the posts about Sarah it is abundantly clear that she made a huge impact on a significant number of people in her very short time here. She will be there with her welcome welcome smile to greet her many friends when she welcomes them home in heaven.
I didn't know Sarah extremely well, but I did become friends with her at Liberty University. I met her through the Comic Book Club, and from everything I could tell, she was a talented artist and a fun person to be around. At one point we even talked about collaborating on a comic book project together. I hadn't seen her in a while, but I was still sad to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Steve and Family,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter ~ our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very tender time.

Sarah was such a good friend. She always knew the right thing to say. She was one of the most genuine people I have ever met. We rowed together for two semesters. She was so passionate about the sport, and everything else in life. She touched so many lives and I'm so thankful I knew her. I'm sure she is dancing her heart out in heaven. My prayers are with you at this time.
Sarah, I used to hear you laugh and giggle while waiting in line at Bistro. I may not have known you well enough, but by God's grace, I knew in my heart you were a good person in the eyes of God. I hope you are at peace with the Lord and in Heaven and God Bless you and your family.
- Michael Fink
Beth, Steve & Laura, I haven't seen Sarah since she was a child! I know how beautiful she is because of the person that has been my friend all of these years, her wonderful Mother. My heart aches for all of you! Much love,
Words can never express how much I want thank you Sarah for taking the time to touch the lives of so many young people at the Ranch, including my niece Sarah Robinson. She adored you and I feel so blessed that she knew you, even for a short time! In my family we never say good-bye to those who pass away in Christ. Instead we say "see you at the house!" Rest in His arms sweet girl!
Sarah, I barely got a chance to get to know you. The morning we were talking outide of Target made me want to get to know you better, especially after I learbned of our connection to LU. I am so shocked to hear of your passing and truly saddened that you were not able to fulfill the dreams you had in life that you shared with me. I will never understand why God takes people at the times He does.... but at least you are in a better place bow. RIP!
Sarah, you were one of the quirkiest, most down-to-earth girls I've ever known, and I loved you for it. Your passion for zombies and anatomy definitely set you apart from the other girls. I loved how fearless you were when teaching me how to draw females as well as how to interact with them. Even with my awkward freshman personality, you had no problem being my friend and hanging out. And by the way, you had the greatest skills at theater makeup... I'm proud that I was one of your first zombie models! But the greatest thing about your outgoingness was how awkwardness never stopped you from asking the personal questions: whenever I was struggling with something, you had no problem talking about it and letting me know you were there for me. And even after we went our separate ways, your snapchats and random texts gave me a lot of joy. You taught me a lot, and I'm glad you're jammin with Jesus now. I love you, Sarah, and I'm gonna miss you.
P.S. I always loved your hair. I can't wait to see how you have it when we meet next :)
Scaremare ministries just won't be the same w/out Sarah in the mix. Praying for y,all...God,s speed. Mrs.V.
Dear McKeown Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Sarah was a wonderful person with a warm smile and a loving heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. My prayers are with your family.
Dear Beth, Steve, and Laura: I have no words to express how sad our family is for your loss. So many pictures of Hannah and Sarah together when they were little. We will see you at the calling hours. May the Lord hold you close as you walk through this difficult time. The Hogan/Lake family: Sarah, Libby, Hannah, and Barb
Steve and Family, So sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sarah was an amazing friend. Any time I was having a bad day I could count on her to send me some kind of crazy picture or video to cheer me up. Any time I was studying late or spending long hours in the lab working she would bring me food or a warm drink or something. Even if I didn't tell her where I was or how I was feeling she somehow always knew, and she always knew exactly what to do to cheer me up. She was one of the most selfless people I have ever met. She was always the life of the party, but she knew how to have great serious conversations too. She is going to be missed, but I know that she is having a marvelous time in heaven. I'm sure she is making heaven a much more fun and exciting place. I am praying that Christ comforts you in this difficult time.
Sarah could brighten anyone's day just by being in it! She always knew just what to say when someone was having a rough time. Anyone who knew her were friends with her instantly, she had the personality that made you want to hang around with her to help brighten your day.
It is so hard to believe that Sarah is gone from this world. She had such a contagious smile and warm heart. She was one of the happiest people I knew in high school. This is a difficult time filled with loss and questions, be we can take heart that she is rejoicing with our Heavenly Father. She no longer has to feel the pain of this world, because she has been made new again through her trust in Jesus. I am praying for Sarah's family as they try to make sense of such a sudden loss. Our God is sovereign, and He has already been using Sarah's life for His glory. May He continue to do so through her legacy.
Dear Sarah, I didn't know you very well. But I remember your smile. I remember your kindness to me, when I was struggling in college and how you always took time to say hello to me--I remember your great joyful personality. Thank you for being a part of Marching Band with me, and for making me smile. May you rest in peace and delight in the Lord.
Dearest Mckeown family,
I'm so sorry to have heard of sarah's passing. It was a shock to come into work and hear of this. She and I only worked a few weeks together at Target...but she seemed full of life and always friendly. So sorry again for your loss to you all. Your family is in my thoughts.
Beth, Steve, and family,
You will all be in my prayers! I am so sorry about the passing of Sarah. I was one of her team members on the crew team at Liberty University. She was an amazing, hard working, talented person. She was always extremely happy, friendly, and outgoing. I can remember many times where Sarah and I went places and I have never laughed more than the times I was with her. She was a light for Christ for sure. Although we will miss her here on earth, she is in Heaven with Jesus looking down on us.
Our prayers are with you as you pass through this difficult valley. May you know God's peace and feel the love of the Liberty family during this time and in the days to come.
Steve, Beth, and Laura: We pray you find comfort in your memories. You are in our thoughts. You are in our prayers. Let your faith take you through this difficult time.
Very sorry to hear this. She was a close friend through college and was always one to brighten your day. She will be sorely missed. I will absolutely be praying for the family.

gone but never forgotten. She was a great friend.
you have gone with your savior but never forgotten. I miss you.
I still can't believe that she's gone, I had her as a counselor when I went to El Rancho for camp. She was sooo fun and I loved having her as a councilor and being in the same cabin as her for a few years after. I'm going to miss her tons! My prayers go out to all of you
Sarah was in our youth group at Bing. First - what a precious girl! We are so saddened to hear the news- unbelievable loss but in the arms of her Savior! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all - she was always cheerful, always had a smile - so thoughtful and giving.........The Mitchell Family
It's hard to know what words to use. My heart aches for you. Many thoughts and prayers. We'll stay in touch.
My favorite memory of Sarah was when we both ran around the entire world at Epcot park in an hour. We were out of breath and uncontrollably laughing together as we got back to the bus a half hour late. I will remember Sarah as a fun-loving, energizing, kind, positive, and accepting human being. :-) We need more of her in this world.
what a beautiful girl, she will be missed by so many! May god bless the family and hold them close in this tragic time of loss.
Steve and Family,

Deepest sympathy to the Mckeown family. We did not know Sarah, but she was obviously an exceptional young woman. We are asking for God's embrace to envelope and comfort the entire family as you grieve the loss of one so young.
Sarah was beautiful inside and out. I know she is cracking jokes with God now with that usual big grin of hers.
The last thing I said to Sarah was "I am going to miss you so much!" I never dreamed I would have to wait to see her in His Heaven. My heart is at once broken with grief for her family and friends but also rejoicing that she is in the arms of her Savior. I love you, Sarah. You were not just a bright light, but display of colorful fireworks that will never be forgotten. With love from your "Crew Mom."
Our deepest condolences are with your family at this time. Many thoughts are sent your way.....
Sarah, I've only known you a short time but you will be missed. I was saddened to hear of your passing. I am also joyful in to have met you. I shall miss your smile and charm that you greeted me with every morning at work. Target will not be the same without you.
Mark from Target.
Dearest Beth, Steve and Laura. Words come hard at such a devastating loss. We are praying for God's peace and grace to come upon you. We love you and are here for you always. “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. Sarah was an awesome kid. She carried her sousaphone in the Union-Endicott marching band with pride and set a great example for younger members of the band to follow. She was a pleasure to teach and to see her passion for the band was inspiring. Words cannot express the sadness many are feeling at this time, meaning Sarah's time on Earth was not misspent. She affected many people with an infectious smile and enthusiasm. Prayers and thoughts go to her family.
Sarah was such a wonderful girl who lived on my hall freshman year. She had a great zest for life and love for the Lord. She always had a smile on her face whenever I would see her and was always the first to say Hello! She will be greatly missed. Praying for all of her family and dear friends.
Prayers for that peace beyond all understanding to fill your hearts and minds.
